Sioux Lookout

Community Support Services offers a wide range of services and programs to help seniors live and remain at home and maintain independence in the community. We provide service in Kenora, Red Lake and Sioux Lookout.

Assessment and individual programming for each client.

Adult Day Program (The Happy Day Club)

This service provides programming in a group setting, outside the home, for older adults who are living in the community, including those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

  • The Happy Day Club is now available Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • Transportation is arranged and lunch is provided
  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Congregate Meal Program

A support service that provides a nutritious meal at a central location. Friendly volunteers serve the meal on Monday at 5:00 p.m. at the Happy Day Club Centre, Sioux Towers. Advanced notice is required for bookings and cancellations.

  • Registration is required

Meals on Wheels

This service helps provides individuals with a hot-meal delivered to their door who are physically unable to prepare meals.

  • Monday to Friday to the community of Sioux Lookout
  • 7 days a week to clients residing at Sioux Towers
  • Noon meal
  • Registration is required

Personal Response Service

This service that gives individuals the confidence to continue to live independently in their own home by ensuring that help is only a button push away. To call for help, you simply press the Personal Help Button you wear as a pendant or a wristband. The Personal Help Button activates a small in-home communicator that automatically dials the Lifeline Response Centre.

Supportive Housing – Sioux Towers and Patricia Plaza

This program is designed to help people live independently in their own apartments. The focus is on promoting mental and physical health along with 24/7 personal support. For a monthly fee, clients enjoy scheduled activities and outings among other benefits.

Community Support Services is always looking for caring individuals to volunteer, and there are a variety of ways you can help. If you would like to make a difference in our community and in a senior’s life, please contact us to make an appointment. We’ll find a place that fits your availability and schedule. 24 Hour Cancellation Policy

24-hour notice is required when canceling a service or the User Fee or minimum 1 hour will be charged.
